Buffy: “Power. I have it. They don’t. This bothers them.”

Angel: “No weapons, no friends, no hope. Take all that away and what’s left?”
Buffy: “Me.”
4. “I am the plan.”
Giles: “You have a plan?”
Buffy: “I am the plan.”
5. “I’m the thing that monsters have nightmares about.”
Buffy: “I always find a way. I’m the thing that monsters have nightmares about.”
6. “Strong is fighting.”
Buffy: “Strong is fighting. It’s hard and it’s painful, and it’s every day. It’s what we have to do. And we can do it together.”
7. “Maybe one day I turn around and realize I’m ready.”
Buffy: “I make it through this and the next thing and the next thing, and maybe one day I turn around and realize I’m ready.”
8. “We’re not ready? They’re not ready.”
Buffy: “I’m beyond tired. I’m beyond scared. I’m standing on the mouth of hell, and it’s gonna swallow me whole. And it’ll choke on me. We’re not ready? They’re not ready.”
9. “There is only one thing on this earth more powerful than evil. And that’s us.”
10. “It’s what you do afterwards that counts.”
Whistler: “So what — are we helpless puppets? No. The big moments are gonna come. You can’t help that. It’s what you do afterwards that counts. That’s when you find out who you are.”
12. “When it’s something that really matters, they fight.”
Anya: “When it’s really something that matters, they fight. I mean, they’re lame morons for fighting, but they do. They never— they never quit. And so I guess I will keep fighting, too.”
13. “The hardest thing in this world is to live in it.”
Buffy: “You have to take care of each other. You have to be strong. Dawn, the hardest thing in this world is to live in it. Be brave. Live, for me.”
14. “Are you ready to be strong?”
Buffy: “Make your choices. Are you ready to be strong?”
