What it’s about: Quentin Coldwater enrolls at Brakebills University, a school for magicians. But, mastering his classes is the least of his worries when the fictional land he read about as a child turns out to be real — along with the monsters that live there.
How it’s similar to Game of Thrones: Since there are magicians, there’s that fantastical element. Also, when they enter into Fillory, the fictional land that’s not-so fictional, there’s a war over who belongs on the throne.
